February 9, 2008 The Little Old Dam band played in the lobby of The Centre in Evansville as patrons arrived for The Big Show. Charles Dewig sat in on tuba for vacationing Dan Schultz

February 15, 2008 The Little Old Dam Band entertained about 200 supporters of the Youth First Fundraiser at the Casino Aztar Conference Center in Evansville.

February 23, 2008 The Little Old Dam Band entertained about 25 residents at the Willow Park retirement home in Evansville.

March 8, 2008 The Little Old Dam Band entertained about 20 residents at the Newburgh Health Care Center.

July 4 - 6, 2008 The Old Dam Community Band played three concerts at July 4th celebrations. On July 4th the concert preceded the fireworks display in Newburgh.

On July 5th, the parade contingent played for the Saturday morning parade in Newburgh. On July 6th, the community band played at the Solarbron Point Retirement Community preceding their fireworks display.

July 12, 2008 The Little Old Dam Band entertained over 55 members of the Lambert family at their reunion at Burdett Park.

August 5, 2008 The Old Dam Community Band had a record number of players as 40 musicians performed at the McCullough Library in Evansville for about 52 people.

August 7, 2008 The Little Old Dam Band played Dixieland music for 56 people at the main library in Evansville.

August 12, 2008 The Old Dam Community Band played for about 125 people at the Newburgh Library. This was the final performance for the conductor, Carl Becker, as he has resigned to pursue other interests. This concert featured the Newburgh Senior Citizen’s kazoo band during the intermission.

September 4, 2008 The Little Old Dam Band played at Southwestern Indiana Regional Council on Aging (SWIRCA) for their annual “Prom”. About 175 senior citizens danced and enjoyed the music.

September 6, 2008 The Little Old Dam Band played at Rathbone House Retirement Community for their annual picnic. About 150 residents and guests enjoyed the Dixieland music and the show of 1950’s music performed by residents of Rathbone.

September 11, 2008 The Little Old Dam Band was joined by the Newburgh senior’s kazoo band to play on the waterfront. A short concert by the Kazoo Band was followed by a sing-along session with the Little Old Dam Band. There were about 50 in the audience.

September 19, 2008 The Old Dam Community Band under the direction of James Leslie had an open rehearsal at the Ohio Township Library. The public was invited to come to observe a rehearsal of the band.

October 11, 2008 The trailer band performed at the annual West Side Fall Festival parade again this year.

November 8, 2008 The Little Old Dam Band played at the First Christian Church in Newburgh. The church was having a “Health Fair.”

November 9, 2008 The Old Dam Band held its annual dinner and business meeting in the Kiwanis Rehearsal Hall. John Powell and Mark Taylor were re-elected to the board of directors and Fred Hormuth was elected for his first three year term to the board. The Dixieland Band and other small groups played to entertain the band and their guests.

November 18, 2008 The Old Dam Community Band played at the Ohio Township Library in a concert to which the public was invited.

November 25, 2008 The Old Dam Community Band began rehearsing in the Castle Junior High School band room as a result of arrangements by Jerry Reese.

December 5, 2008 “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire” in downtown Newburgh by the concert band.

December 7, 2008 The concert band was Christmas caroling in downtown Newburgh from 12 PM.

December 13, 2008 The Little Old Dam Band performed Christmas music for 25 residents at the Rathbone Home.

December 14, 2008 The Little Old Dam Band and the Old Dam Concert Band played at Santa Land on Franklin Street in Evansville for over 300 people who visited Santa Claus.

December 20, 2008 The Little Old Dam Band again played at Santa Land on Franklin Street in Evansville for about 200 people who visited Santa Clause during the first hour.

December 23, 2008 The Old Dam Community Band played at the Ohio Township Library for 30 people.
